The purpose of the event was to find out how the Danish and Japanese use wood in their everyday life. In this way the two cultures could inspire each other and share knowledge about wood in every way production, construction, design etc. Furthermore ayanomimi wanted to create relations to a local wood supplier Hosoda who specializes in wooden floor construction. In connection to this Hosoda has become a potential partner in creating a danish Japanese business area in 2020.
TARGET and OUTCOME
The target group of the event was the Japanese creative industry, especially designers, architects and the people in the construction business. The event was attended by 35 attendees coming and going, and resulted in an increased interest from the Japanese in the Danish way of using wood and their lifestyle. This interest also means motivation and initiatives to do new product from the Japanese side that can lead to local-global collaboration between the two countries.
