Japan Year in Copenhagen

The exhibition “JAPN, JAPAN, JAPAN” at A. Petersen Collection & Craft in Copenhagen celebrates the relations between Denmark and Japan. Ayanomimi has been involved in the project as a cultural facilitator responsible for communication, branding, and coordination. The exhibition is open throughout 2017. Don’t miss this exclusive collection of Japanese craftsmanship and Danish design.

Mar.17 – Dec.31: “Wise Wise Tools – everyday craft and Japanese traditions”
An exhibition showcasing 14 leading craftsmen from Japan, their inherited techniques, culture, and traditions.
Workshops with the two craftsmen Eifu Kawamata and Takayuki Shimizu were held in Copenhagen Nov.20-Nov.21.

May 4. – Dec. 31: “Tapered Chair by Tomoyuki Matsuoka”
“Tapered” is a series of seating furniture designed by Tomoyuki Matsuoka and manufactured by Japanese furniture company TAKUMI KOHGEI.

Oct. 6. – Dec. 31: “Kitani – Japanese craftmanship and Finn Juhl house in Takayama”
The exhibition “Kitani – Japanese craftmanship and Finn Juhl house in Takayama” will exhibit the finest unique pieces of Danish design classics made by Japanese Kitani. Visit our indoor Japanese garden, and experience the Danish-Japanese connection.
